We are delighted to welcome the UK’s leading wellness retailer Holland & Barrett as a new retailer regulatory member. Holland & Barrett is the latest retailer to join PAGB’s collective and expert voice representing and promoting the interests and reputation of the UK consumer healthcare sector.
This follows Holland & Barrett introducing a selected range of OTC medicines and healthcare products into its stores across the UK. Extending its range to not only help customers to stay well, but also to offer relief if they need it too, with the range including painkillers, cough and cold medicines, children’s health, hay fever relief, skin and gastro-intestinal products.
As well as representing the manufacturers of branded over-the-counter medicines, self-care medical devices and food supplements, PAGB supports retailers selling these products to stay up to speed on all regulatory matters and input into policy that affects the whole industry, and actively promotes self-care to empower individuals to take responsibility for their health and well-being.
On joining PAGB as a member, John Miller, Group Technical & Sourcing Director – International at Holland & Barrett, said:
“At Holland & Barrett we have a long-standing history in the wellness space, backed by our own research, data and insights, and we’re continually striving to ensure that our consumer healthcare offer represents best practice. PAGB’s expert guidance and support in the sector will be invaluable in helping us to keep ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape.”
Michelle Riddalls, CEO at PAGB, added:
“We’re thrilled that Holland & Barrett have joined PAGB membership. Their brand is renowned with UK consumers for health, wellness and self-care, and we look forward to working with them to amplify the impact of their business and their voice in the consumer healthcare sector.
“We’re pleased also to be able to provide our expert advice and guidance to support Holland & Barrett with self-regulation, in addition to advocating on behalf of the industry through our work influencing government and policy and promoting self-care.”
